Los Angeles-based Alpert & Alpert Iron & Metal Inc. has announced the appointment of Alan Dick as its president, effective April 1, 2013.
Dick joins Alpert & Alpert from Ohio-based aluminum producer Aleris, where he most recently was executive vice president and CEO - global recycling. Prior to that he led the Aleris rolled products business unit and the global metal procurement division of Aleris.
In his new role, Dick will have responsibility for all aspects of the business operations at Alpert & Alpert Iron & Metal Inc., according to an Alpert & Alpert news release. He replaces Alan Alpert, who will become the president of The Alpert Group LLC holding company.
