Joachim Wagner, the managing director and member of ALBA SE’s board of directors, has announced plans to leave the company, effective April 30, 2014,
Since 2009 Wagner worked at top management positions with ALBA, a recycling and waste management company based in Germany. In 2010 he was named CEO of ALBA’s steel and metal recycling segment. In October 2011, Wagner also was appointed to the board of the holding company ALBA Group plc & Co. KG, where he was initially responsible for the steel and metals recycling segment. After ALBA restructured in July 2013 Wagner was named a managing director and member of ALBA’s board.
In announcing Wagner’s resignation, Dr. Axel Schweitzer, CEO of ALBA Group and chairman of ALBA’s board, says, "We would like to thank Joachim Wagner for his excellent work in the past few years. His contribution to the development of our company as a leading recycling and resource providers was crucial, as well as his commitment to the close integration of the steel and metals recycling, with the divisions disposal and recycling. For his future, therefore, we wish him all the best. "
