The Alba Group, based in Berlin, has acquired the Spanish paper recycling company Reciclajes Dolaf.
Reciclajes Dolaf was established in 1987 and operates two plants in the Spanish cities of Madrid and Valencia. Its main focus is the transportation, sorting, purchasing and sale of paper and cardboard. In total, Reciclajes Dolaf processes approximately 100,000 metric tons of recovered paper per year.
In a news release, Axel Schweitzer, CEO of Alba Group, says, “By entering the Spanish market, we are strengthening our position as raw materials suppliers in Southern Europe. The Valencia location also gives us access to Spain’s largest deep-sea port, which is a perfect fit for the Alba Group’s international network, allowing us to supplement our Spanish operations with additional material streams.”
Alba Group has changed the acquired company’s name to Alba Servicios Verdes S.L.
