Alter Trading has received final approval by the Mobile, Ala., Planning Commission to build an auto shredder. The final approval came June 15, and ended roughly a three-month process by the company to receive the approval to build the facility.
A representative with the Mobile Planning Commission says the shredder is located in an area of the city zoned for heavy industrial use.
While receiving approval to build the shredder, the representative says that the company can go ahead with receiving the various permits to operate the facility unless opponents file a complaint with a court.
