Akros Henschel, Kassel, Germany, has introduced a new version of its CIV 600-8 press-wing shears. Akros Henschel now offers its customers 600-metric-ton press-wing shears with what it says is an innovative design and improved performance characteristics, incorporating the benefits of its experience in the field. Features of the new CIV 600-8 include:

•    Increased production of 600-metric-ton cutting capacity at 350 bars and a 6-meter preparation box

•    A centralized hydraulic system

•    Easily-accessible preventive maintenance points requiring no special tools


•    Improved soundproofing

•    Enhanced safety through centralized controls and machine status indicators on the operating terminals

•    Drive system compliant with the latest European standards, allowing operation at very high temperatures
