AK Steel Announces Price Increase for Stainless Hot-Rolled Products
AK Steel announced that it will increase transaction prices for all hot-rolled stainless steel sheet, strip, tubular-quality and continuous mill plate products by about 6 percent, effective with shipments on February 19. The increase will be accomplished through a two point reduction in the functional discount rate.
The price increase is in response to significant increases in manufacturing, energy and transportation costs, and to support capital investments.
