AK Steel Announces October Surcharges

AK Steel has advised its flat-rolled carbon steel customers that a $154 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for products shipped next month. AK Steel also advised its electrical steel customers that a $90 per ton surcharge will be added to invoices for electrical steel products shipped next month.

 

AK Steel's surcharges are based on reported prices for raw materials and energy used to manufacture the products, with the August 2005 purchase cost used to determine the October 2005 surcharges.
