The American Forest & Paper Association has released guides that aim to help property owners, as well as community organizers to boost their recycling programs. The guides are free and available at paperrecycles.org.
The workplace recycling guide provides tips on establishing a workplace recycling program and on educating and motivating employees. The community recycling guide encourages strong communication and provides tips on educating citizens on the importance of recycling. Examples of previous AF&PA Recycling Award-winning programs provide real life experience, and are featured both in the guides and online.
“As a result of industry leadership, community efforts, and the dedication of millions of Americans, recycling has become one of our nation’s greatest environmental success stories,” said Donna Harman, president and CEO of AF&PA. “We are pleased to present additional resources designed to help businesses and communities build and strengthen their paper recycling programs.”
