The American Forest and Paper Association announced the winners of its 2002 Best Paper Recycling Awards contest.
The winners of this yearfs awards include the following:
œ The city of Austin (Texas) Solid Waste Services won the award for cities with more than 100,000 residents.
œ The Central Texas Recycling Association won in the nonprofit category.
œ The Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation, Nashville, was recognized in the category for cities of less than 100,000 people.
œ Herndon High School, Herndon, Va., received top honors among schools and institutions.
œ Navy Whidbey Recycle, Oak Harbor, Wash., received the award for federal government agencies.
œ Virco Manufacturing Corp., Conway Division, Torrance, Calif., won for the best business program.
Winners in each of the categories, except federal facilities, will receive a $2,000 award.Latest from Recycling Today
