The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), Washington, D.C., has awarded its 2012 School Recycling Award to Perry High School in Perry, Ohio, as part of its Community Green Day. A total of more than 200 schools in 42 states applied for the award.
"We are appreciative of this award from the American Forest & Paper Association and proud of the collaborative efforts that have evolved between students from different organizations, school employees and members of our community,” says Perry High School Program Coordinator Bob Glavan. “We have progressed significantly since beginning our recycling program in 2007.”
