The American Forest & Paper Association announced the list of speakers and sessions to be held during the 125th Annual Paper Week program in New York City, from March 10-12.
The AFPA will hold a general Paper Recycling General Session March 12, from 8 AM to 10 AM. The session will focus on the challenges the industry faces in fiber access, including more recovered fiber going to exports, contamination, changes in municipal waste collection, and flow control. Speakers at the session are Jerry Powell, Resource Recycling, and Jonathon Burgiel, R.W. Beck.
Another session slated to be conducted during the three-day program is a Packaging General Session. Called Packaging Value: Defining Success in Today’s Marketplace, it will be held March 11. Session speakers include Steve Rogel, chairman, president and CEO of Weyerhaeuser Co., and Rod Young, president of RISI.
Another session will be the Pulp & Paper General Session. Titled, Upstream-Downstream: Running the Rapids in the 2002 Supply/Demand Stream, the session will feature Martin Glass, EMGE & Co., and Chip Dillon, Salomon Smith Barney. Both speakers will provide an opportunity to share perspectives on the future of the industry and challenges companies face in the coming year.
