The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA), Washington, has unveiled its newly redesigned Web site at www.afandpa.org.
The site includes public outreach and educational materials, information for members only, online registration for AF&PA conferences and a marketplace to order paper-related publications and documents from the AF&PA and other sources.
“The site is more colorful, faster to navigate, and, most importantly, makes it easier to find the information you’re looking for,” says W. Henson Moore, president and CEO of the AF&PA, a national trade association representing the forest, paper and wood products industry. “It will provide enhanced communication with members and better public outreach.”
Non-members can now access the site’s events calendar as well as more in-depth information on policy, issues and industry news than the previous version of the site. Easy-to-order educational materials for students and teachers can also be ordered through the site, says Moore.
Members can access online sign-up for events (such as Paper Week in New York in March); access site for association committee news and updates; and can receive e-mail notification of developments of interest to the specific member.
The site has been under development for more than one year, with redevelopment efforts led by Kelly Williamson and Haris Cheema of AF&PA and the Web design firm Active Matter of Fairfax, Va.
AF&PA represents more than 200 companies and related associations involved in making pulp, paper, paperboard and wood products.
