A.E.R.T. received the Arkansas Recycling Coalition’s 2005 Corporate Recycler of the Year Award during the statewide recycling association’s annual conference.
A.E.R.T., located in Springdale, was recognized for its efforts in recycling waste plastic and wood into high quality building products.
Other award winners were City of Fayetteville for Recycling Education Program of the Year Award; Ouachita Industries, Inc. for Community Involvement Award; Little Rock Air Force Base Recycling for Government Recycler of the Year Award; Daniel Cayce, for Individual Recycler of the Year; Rita Potts for Lifetime Achievement Award; and Wal-Mart for a special Director's Award.
Founded in 1989, the ARC unites companies, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and individuals in a common effort to promote reduce, reuse, recycling and composting as a primary means of waste management in Arkansas.
