Advanced Environmental Recycling Technologies Inc. announced that the company recently began operating a plastic recycling facility in Alexandria, La. The Alexandria plant will be AERT's third plastic recycling operation.
"AERT has leased this facility and most of the equipment," said Joe Brooks, AERT chairman. "AERT also installed additional equipment to expand the existing plant capacity. The facility will supply recycled plastics to both our Springdale (Arkansas) and Junction (Texas) plants."
The Alexandria facility is a complete plastic processing plant with multiple lines located in a 50,000 square foot warehouse.
The company operates four manufacturing facilities in Springdale, Ark., Lowell, Ark., Junction, Texas, and Alexandria, La. The Company converts reclaimed plastic and wood fiber waste into Weyerhaeuser ChoiceDek® outdoor decking systems, MoistureShield® door and window components, and MoistureShield® CornerLoc(tm) exterior trim and fascia components.Latest from Recycling Today
