Aerospace is Focus of Two Events

Members of CARI (the Canadian Association of Recycling Industries) can receive a discounted registration to the Aerospace Materials Outlook and Forecast 2007 conference, taking place in late September in Philadelphia.

The Basic Industries Group LLC is hosting the conference at the Hyatt Regency Penn’s Landing in Philadelphia on Sept. 24 and 25

The group has extended a discount of 10 percent off the registration rate to any CARI member, from US$725 to US$652.50.

A separate event of interest to the aerospace industry and its suppliers is taking place in Montreal from Sept. 11 to 13. Lean Directions Aerospace Canada is being presented by the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) September 11-13 at the Hilton Bonaventure in Montreal.

The event is designed to examine how lean manufacturing can be applied to aerospace and defense manufacturers. The conference begins with a workshop and plant tours and follows with two days of technical sessions, exhibits and networking opportunities, according to the SME.
