The electronics recycling firm AERC Recycling Solutions Inc., based in Flanders, N.J., has announced that all five of its Com-Cycle electronics processing plants have been designated as R2/RIOS (Responsible Recycling Practices/Recycling Industry Operating Standard) Certified Electronics Recyclers™. The facilities are in Hayward, Calif.; Houston; West Melbourne, Fla.; Ashland, Va.; and Allentown, Pa.
Perry Johnson Registrars Inc., an accredited certification body for R2/RIOS, certified each of the facilities.
“AERC was distinguished as one of the first electronics recycling companies to become a certified electronics recycler when the West Melbourne facility attained R2/RIOS certification back in July 2010,” says Lindsay Kissel, a spokesperson for AERC. “By having attained this certified electronics recycler designation at all of its electronics processing Com-Cycle facilities, AERC further demonstrates its competitiveness in the marketplace and commitment to continuous improvement within the organization.”
