Flanders, N.J.-based AERC Recycling Solutions, through an affiliate, has completed the acquisition of 2nd Solutions LLC, an end-of-life electronics recycling company headquartered in Richmond, Va., with operations in Massachusetts, Europe and Africa.
AERC, with its R2/RIOS (Responsible Recycling Practices/Recycling Industry Operating Standard) certifications, says it will combine resources and processes of its electronics segment to enhance the capabilities of 2nd Solutions.
“This was the best fit for our company based on the abilities and strengths of AERC, especially with its new ownership structure,” says Michael Feibelman, founder of 2nd Solutions.
AERC also has announced the opening of its newest electronics and universal waste management facility in Rochester, N.Y. The new facility will be headed by William Clark, who has been named vice president, Northeast region. He has 17 years of experience in the industry, including five years in the electronics recycling sector.
The Rochester location is a secured warehouse that will manage the end of life and demanufacturing of electronics and universal waste.
