Thomas Hogye has been named director of business development at electronic scrap recycling firm AER Worldwide, Fremont, Calif.
According to the company, Hogye will be “responsible for the development and implementation of new and existing opportunities within the Business Development Department to provide for a complete, effective and efficient electronics recovery and recycling process for AER Worldwide.”
Hogye has a decade of experience in the electronics recycling industry, including familiarity with the processes of material recovery related to the secondary smelting and refining practices that return base materials to a state where they can be recycled into new products.
In addition to experience organizing an electronics recycling event in California, Hogye has developed long-term recycling plans for OEMs, municipalities and other organizations. He also played a role in the establishment of California’s electronic scrap recycling law.
Hogye, who has also frequently served as a speaker and author on the topic of electronic scrap, earned his bachelor of science degree in Finance and Communications at San Jose State University.
