The Aluminum Extruders Council (AEC) will conduct its Die Performance Improvement Clinic March 8-9, 2005, during National Manufacturing Week in Chicago.
Held every two years, the Die Clinic consists of workshops, training and lectures designed to appeal to die craftsmen.
In a general session on March 8, Richard Dickson, director of the Hydro Aluminum Technology Center North America, will give a lecture on different philosophies of die correction. The clinic also includes four problem-solving stations and four workshops presenting topics like proper design and interpretation of extrusion drawings, die performance issues and die wear and finishing.
The Die Clinic will be held at the Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel during National Manufacturing Week, which will be held March 7-10 in Chicago at the McCormick Place Convention Center. Attendees of the clinic will receive free registration for National Manufacturing Week from the AEC.
