Plastics recycling and logistics provider Advanced Polymer Recycling LLC (APR), Peachtree City, Georgia, recently announced the acquisition of TKO Polymers, an Atlanta-based business that specializes in postindustrial plastic recovery.
APR says the acquisition boosts its service network, increases its processing capacity and brings new capabilities in toll grinding, custom resin formulation and material recovery. The firm says the purchase also strengthens its reach across the southeastern United States and reinforces its commitment to practical, cost-effective recycling solutions for manufacturers nationwide.
“TKO has long been respected in the industry for their integrity, technical knowledge and customer-first approach,” APR CEO Tom Vaughn says. “This acquisition is more than a facility expansion—it’s the blending of two cultures committed to solving waste challenges with practical, scalable solutions.”
Founded in 1998 by Stewart Levy, TKO has provided toll grinding, baling and reprocessing services to customers across the U.S., with a focus on service, reliability and long-term partnerships. According to APR, TKO is known for helping manufacturers and converters turn plastic scrap into reliable, high-performance raw materials.
“I appreciate the manner in which Tom Vaughn and the entire APR team conducted the negotiations and closing process,” Levy says. “I feel very comfortable that the mission of TKO Polymers will be carried on and enhanced by APR.”
