Advanced Chemical Co. hires sales director

Precious metals refining and electroplating company Advanced Chemical Co. (ACC), Warwick, Rhode Island, has appointed David Farnum as its new director of sales.

In this position, Farnum will lead and develop the sales team to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of ACC’s sales process as it serves plating companies, jewelry manufacturers, dental laboratories and electroplating manufacturing operations through its refining of gold, silver, platinum, palladium and rhodium.

Prior to joining Advanced Chemical, he served as vice president of sales and marketing at Pease & Curren Inc., where he transformed the sales force in response to unprecedented changes in the precious metals market over the past three years, ACC says.

Farnum also acted as advanced marketing manager at Legrand Data Communications for two years and as the director of sales and marketing at Wardwell Braiding Machine Co. for six years.
