To boost its operations, the recycling company worked with Sesotec Asia, the company’s Singapore subsidiary, to install a Flake Purifier. “With the Flake Purifier multi-sorting system we have achieved a clear increase in efficiency. The quality of recycled plastics is guaranteed at highest levels and without any quality fluctuations,” says Dede Indrapurna, a spokesman for PT Rejekidigraha.
PT. Rejeki Adigraha’s recycling process begins with plastic scrap from residual waste and plastic flakes containing 70 percent PVC and 30 percent other plastics, primarily PET. The material is first shredded to reach a consistent size. The shredded plastic is then run through a washing and drying processes to clean the flake. During the next step in the processing operation Sesotec's Flake Purifier multi-sorting-system separates the PVC from the other types of plastic. The company’s small conveyor ensures that the plastic flakes are optimally singularized. In addition to the sensors for metal and color separation Sesotec also provides a high-performance module that detects contaminants, including different types of plastics. Depending on the application the sensors are used individually or in combination with other equipment.
PT. Rejeki Adigraha, which processes about 1,000 tons of PET and PVC plastics per month, says it was the first company in Indonesia to produce PVC granulate for the pipeline component market. Additionally, the company produces PET flake that is exported to China and is used in the polyester industry.
