ACS Group, New Berlin, Wis., says its new T500 granulator series offers size reduction machines ideally suited for recycling large containers and blow molded objects.
The T500 group is available in three sizes: 20-inches by 28 inches; 20 inches by 36 inches; and 20 inches by 48 inches. A 20-inch cutting circle is designed to provide enhanced part ingestion and throughputs for the machines range from 2,000 to 3,500 pounds per hour, according to the company. Tangential Series (T Series) design features “allow these mid-sized granulators to deliver high throughputs reclaiming large, bulky parts that would normally require a more costly, higher horsepower central granulator,” says ACS in a news release. On the safety and maintenance fronts, the new models offer several features, according to ACS: The T500 models are available with 3- and 5-knife rotors and with high-shear or steep-angle rotors. Rotational end discs are designed to provide clean, dust-free granulation without the “angel” hair or smearing that can exist with a conventional solid wall granulator. ACS Group distributes products under the brand names AEC, Sterling, Cumberland Engineering, Colortronic, Wabash, Carver and Economizer.
