ACH Foam Technologies, Denver, has leased an additional 40,000 square feet at its Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, facility.
The company says it decided to expand thhis facility, which is scheduled to be completed in January 2015, because of rising demand for the company’s expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam products.
Following the announced expansion plan, ACH says it is considering further expansion at the Wisconsin site. The company says is has the option to lease an additional 20,000 square feet, depending on demand for its products.
Todd Huempfner, vice president of ACH’s operations, says, “We have 110,000 square feet at our current place and we’re landlocked. The future is now in terms of charting our course for growth.”
When the company completes the expansion, ACH will conduct pattern assembly for lost foam components; store finished goods, specifically insulation, which will be used in short run construction projects; and manage regional fulfillment work.
“We’ve had a lot of success in Fond du Lac,” Huempfner adds. “The new space will allow us to better serve the region and eventually hire more people from the area.”
ACH has been involved in EPS manufacturing for more than 40 years. The company provides products for construction, geotechnical, packaging and industrial applications. ACH says it recycles 100 percent of its postindustrial EPS and also consumes EPS foam scrap “that is white, clean, dry and free of debris, such as insulated coolers or protective packaging for electronics, household goods and toys.”
