The organizers of the Indo Pacific Circular Plastics Summit 2023 have released the late-October event’s final program. The plastic recycling-focused event takes place Oct. 26-27 at the Holiday Inn Jakarta Kemayoran in Indonesia’s capital city.
James Chen, principal consultant to the event’s organizing committee, says the summit has been designed to gather together industry professionals and decision-makers from throughout the plastics value chain, including brand owners or end users, to discuss circular plastics development in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) region and beyond.
Speakers and panelists from numerous companies and organizations are part of the two-day program, with entities represented including global brands Coca-Cola, Ikea and Unilever; recycling firms the ALBA Group and Plastic Energy; technology vendors Coperian and Erema Group; plus S&P Global and the Alliance to End Plastic Waste.
Topics to be addressed include Asian circular plastics markets, chemical recycling technology, designing products made from recycled materials, plastic scrap sorting technology, food-grade rPET developments in Asia, Indonesian plastic recycling regulatory updates and sustainable packaging initiatives.
