Green Bay Packers taps Goodwill Industries to provide electronics recycling services

Goodwill E-cycle holds a number of industry certifications.

Wisconsin's Green Bay Packers has selected Goodwill E-cycle, Greendale, Wisconsin, to recycle the team’s electronics, including computers and tablets. The announcement was made by Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin, according to an article in the Milwaukee Business Journal.

The article quotes a press release in which Craig Benzel, vice president of sales and business development for the Packers, says, “Goodwill has worked with the Packers for more than 15 years, and it’s a long-standing relationship that we’re really proud of. Having Goodwill as our electronics recycling partner was a natural fit given their reputation in the marketplace, their long history of operations that are environmentally friendly and our trust in the work they do.”

Goodwill E-cycle is R2:2013 (Responsible Recycling Practices), ISO 14001 and OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18001 certified, according to the organization’s website.

The Milwaukee Business Journal quotes Pat Boelter, chief marketing officer of Goodwill, as saying, “Through the electronics that we will recycle, the Packers are creating jobs and helping us to serve our mission of training and employment in the communities we serve.”
