Can I Recycle This Inc. (CIRT) has partnered with Tempe, Arizona-based Four Peaks Brewing Co. to include its digital, location-based recycling tool on all Four Peaks packaging.
“We’re incredibly excited for this partnership, as it was perfect timing to include on the new look of our entire portfolio,” says Trevor Needle, marketing director at Four Peaks Brewing. “Four Peaks strives to make a positive impact one sip at a time. This partnership offers our consumers a way to easily determine exactly where and how to recycle our products, promoting and increasing recycling one can at a time.”
Four Peaks says it added CIRT’s recycling tool to help recover its packaging and allow consumers to access recycling instructions wherever they are. The tool is accessible via QR code on exterior packaging, as well as on metal cans and glass bottles.
According to Athens, Georgia-based CIRT, Four Peaks now has the potential to provide location-specific recycling information to more than 21 million people, divert 3.5 million pounds of material from landfills and offset more than 5.1 million pounds of CO2 equivalent emissions.
The CIRT platform was developed in part with backing from the 100+ Accelerator, a program funded by Anheuser-Busch InBev, Unilever, Coca-Cola and Colgate-Palmolive and created to assist startups developing sustainability solutions.
Four Peaks Brewing is the first brewery and beverage brand to feature CIRT’s technology on its entire portfolio, but the second Anheuser-Busch craft brewery to partner with the organization, following a project between CIRT and Wicked Weed Brewing in 2021.
