Western Disposal Services, a Boulder, Colorado-based company that offers residential and commercial trash, recycling and composting services, says it has been presented with two safety achievement awards by insurer The Hartford Financial Services.
The Distinguished Fleet Safety Award recognizes Western Disposal’s driving performance and operational safety in 2015. The company logged more than 1.3 million miles in 2015 with an accident frequency rate of 1.51. According to The Hartford, clients are considered exceptional if they have a frequency rate of 5 or less.
Western Disposal also won the 2015 Safety Milestone Award, which recognized the company’s Residential Automated team for operating 365 days without an accident or an injury.
”These awards exemplify Western’s ongoing commitment to safety, and we are proud of our drivers who strive daily to make it a priority,” says Dan Souders, owner of Western Disposal. “This is quite an accomplishment, and the recognition further acknowledges Western’s position as a responsible neighbor and an industry leader in safety.”
Western’s safety record and safety programs have been awarded The Hartford Pewter Stag Award seven times. Hartford Financial Services is an investment and insurance company that offers auto and homeowner’s insurance, business insurance, employee benefits and mutual funds.
