Waste Connections, Inc. reported revenue for the fourth quarter was $60.4 million, a 104.1 percent increase over revenue of $29.6 million in the fourth quarter of 1998.
Operating income for the quarter, excluding stock compensation charges and acquisition-related expenses, increased $12.0 million, or 489.0% to $14.4 million, or 23.8% of revenues from $2.4 million in the fourth quarter of 1998.
Revenue for the full year of 1999 was $182.6 million, an 85.6% increase over $98.4 million in 1998. Operating income for the year increased $30.9 million, or 309.8% to $40.9 million, or 22.4% of revenues from $10.0 million in 1998.
