ARMA International has announced a partnership with Sherpa Software, Bridgeville, Pennsylvania, that is designed to offer organizations an affordable introduction into information governance (IG).
“Sherpa Software is a worldwide leader in comprehensive and cost-effective information governance solutions,” says Michael Avery, ARMA International CEO. “This partnership will ultimately help customers identify the gaps in their information and tools and [provide them with] resources to take them to the next level of information governance.”
Using the Next Level: Information Governance Assessment and the Generally Accepted Recordkeeping Principles® offered by ARMA International as well as reporting and analytics offered by Sherpa Software, customers can map and budget their IG programs, the organizations say. Customers also can ensure they are protecting their companies’ assets and maintaining high standards and regulatory compliance, according to ARMA International.
Kevin Ogrodnik, president of Sherpa Software, says, “Getting started can be puzzling, and most often organizations are not sure where to start. The wealth of information that can be gleaned from these assessments, reports and analytics can be like turning on a light switch so one can see what’s in the room and know how to effectively navigate their way through it.”
ARMA International provides education, publications and information on efficiently maintaining, retrieving and preserving vital information created in public and private organizations in all sectors of the economy. It also publishes Information Management magazine.
