Starting in July, a new version of Shred School will emerge but with a decidedly different perspective and agenda.
Building on the quality reputation established by Ray Barry, this highly regarded program will continue to include the sales and marketing training that made the original program so successful. That being said, under NAID’s ownership, the curriculum will be expanded to include a larger framework of industry issues. In addition, NAID has taken many steps to make it more affordable and accessible to members’ rank-and-file employees.
Probably the most significant modification to Shred School is that it will go on the road. With events already scheduled in Chicago, Boston, Orlando, Dallas and San Francisco and plans to eventually visit most major metropolitan areas in the country, travel and hotel costs disappear for local attendees and are nominal for those in the region.
In addition, the cost for employees of NAID member companies has been significantly reduced from the nonmember rate insofar as it is considered a benefit of membership. When Shred School was operated independently, it did not have the benefit of the association’s considerable resources.
While Shred School will remain available to entrepreneurs considering startup ventures, we expect a significant increase in attendance from members’ rank-and-file employees. And, while it is impractical for member companies to send their entire staff to the annual NAID conference, Shred School will be affordable enough to send more employees who otherwise would not have opportunities for such training.
In a world where every management guru stresses the importance of training, Shred School will provide industry training in a way that was not possible before.
We hope to see you at a Shred School near you soon. More information is available at www.shredschool.com.
