2. Erema TVEplus extruder system. Plastics equipment company Erema of Linz, Austria, has introduced the Intarema TVEplus patented extruder system, offering these capabilities, the company says:
- when equipped with the Erema melt filter SW/RTF 4/134, is designed for recycling heavily printed production scrap
- melt filtration takes place upstream of extruder degassing, allowing end products to contain a higher share of recycled pellets
- features the Intarema Counter Current technology to handle more material in a shorter time
- high process stability through improved material intake
- increased throughputs with the same plant size

3. Herbold granulators with forced feeding device. New from Herbold Meckesheim GmbH of Germany is the SB series of granulators, which offers these features, the company says:
- designed for all types of size reduction applications from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles to pre-shredded materials
- material is evenly and horizontally fed into the rotor
- less power consumption, smaller motor with the same capacity as standard gravity-fed models
- even rotor loads means fewer fines and dust
- suitable for dry and wet operation

4. Hyster “Cool Truck” forklift. Forklift truck maker Hyster-Yale Materials Handling Inc., based in the United States, has launched a new model for the European market, offering:
- a design intended to overcome the problem of overheated engines caused by dust and paper debris
- based on the Hyster H4.0 to 5.5FT range with capacities from 4.5 to 5 tonnes
- enclosed frame and vented hoods, side panels and radiator covers reduce the vacuuming of debris into the engine compartment
- Combi Cooler radiator fan changes direction every 20 minutes
