Imperial Abort Gates

Imperial Systems Inc., Jackson Center, Pa., says its “abort gates” are designed to play an important role in duct spark or leak detection. High-speed abort gates, according to an Imperial Systems news release, can be located prior to the inlet of a dust collection system to prevent a flame or burning ember from entering the system. Leak-detection or broken-bag sensors also can activate the abort gate in the event of a filter failure. Abort gates can be placed on the return air side of dust collectors to redirect contaminated air to a safe location. Standard features include heavy-duty fully welded steel construction, a 10-volt control panel, manual gate reset by a hand-crank actuator and limit switches for gate position indication.
