This new collection vehicle from Shredfast is available in a 17- or 20-foot van body length for a total length of 24 feet 11 inches and 30 feet 3 inches. The trucks’ tare weights are 17,000 pounds and 21,500 pounds, respectively, with legal payload capacities of 9,000 pounds and 11,500 pounds. The Master Vault Rear Loader enables loading at the ground level and at the loading dock using Shredfast’s Verilift System. Shred-Tech’s MDS-15GT is designed to allow for maneuverability on narrow streets and crowded urban areas. It features a legal payload capacity of 6,250 pounds. The MDS-15GT is equipped with a shredder cast entirely of aluminum, to provide strength with less weight, and features a throughput rate of from 2,800 to 3,000 pounds per hour. The shredder features hub knives, high-strength alloy shafts, custom cleaning fingers and a vibrating feed hopper. Shred-Tech’s patent-pending Gripper Tipper bin tunnel loading system is designed to accommodate all industry standard containers. The MDS-15GT also features a Plus 1 micro-control system that allows remote diagnostics and comes equipped with a new angled compactor design and a moving floor unloading system. It can operate on ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel or B5 biodiesel fuel. The truck also features Predictable Idle with auto shutdown and remote panel start/stop.
