EXCEL BALER

The EX60HV from Excel Manufacturing offers two-ram performance with a single-ram baler, say company officials. Its heavy-duty construction enables the unit to bale most nonferrous materials, including aluminum siding, extrusions, radiators, copper core, insulated wire, and aluminum cans. In addition, it provides high-performance baling of various scrap paper grades and plastic bottles, according to the company.

PORTA-KING ENCLOSURE

The Versa-King Modular Building System from Porta-King Building Systems contains a built-in, all-anodized aluminum wiring chase at every 4-foot connection. This versatility enables equipment to be added, or interior contents such as computer stations, telephones and lighting to be arranged with easy access to a wiring chase. Typical applications include in-plant offices, storage facilities, locker rooms, rest rooms, cleaning rooms and computer rooms.

IPS BALERS

The IVB line of balers from International Press & Shear offers six models and sizes. Included in the line are Model 606HD, a fully UL-listed baler offering baling capabilities up to 1,100 pounds for old corrugated cardboard and 1,300 pounds for newsprint; and Model 606LP for baling in a low-profile unit that is only 95 inches high. For higher volume operations, the IPS line includes the 20-horsepower Model 727D with a larger 72-inch by 36-inch hopper opening and baling capabilities up to 2,000 pounds of OCC. All models offer an automatic bale size system, hydraulic bale ejection, shockless hydraulic circuit, turnbuckle-style bale door opening device and adjustable time delay on the compaction stroke.

BREAK TIME LIGHT BALER

This light-duty baler from Break Time is an inexpensive way to make small bales of old corrugated cardboard, according to the company. The wall-mounted baler can bale about 25 to 30 boxes or 5 cubic feet of OCC in a manageable 20-pound bale. Biodegradable twine is used to tie off the bale for easy handling. The bales can then be used to feed a central baler.

GRANUTEC GRANULATORS

Granutec Inc. has introduced two new granulators – the Model 1212PG purging granulator with a 12-inch square throat size; and the Model 1216PG purging granulator with a throat size of 12 inches by 16 inches. These granulators are designed to meet the reclaiming needs of manufacturers of high density plastic parts/products, according to the company. The top drop-feed granulators employ knives with scissor cutting action. The granulators are available with a four-, five- or seven-blade rotor.

MCCLAIN TRUCK BODY

The Hook-N-Go by McClain Industries, with a 57-degree tilt, allows one vehicle to handle flatbeds, along with recycling and open-top bodies. The driver controls the load/unload operation from the cab of the truck.

TRAMRAIL COMPACTORS

Philadelphia Tramrail Co. has announced that its lines of stationary and self-contained compactors have earned total UL and Canadian UL approval. Before awarding their approval, Underwriters Laboratories analyzed the products’ overall structure, electrical and hydraulic systems, and all components. Philadelphia Tramrail now has total UL approval on all of its waste compactors and vertical balers.

ADVANTAGE RECYCLE CART

The new Recycle Cart from Advantage Products is a two-wheel hand-pull cart that can transport heavy recycling bins that are used in residential recycling programs. Most recycling bins are not tall enough to be dragged like conventional trash receptacles, and can be strenuous to pick up and transport. The Recycle Cart has two sets of hooks to handle both sizes of recycling bins currently available on the market.

INDUSTRIAL MAGNET

Overhead magnets from Industrial Magnet Inc. are available in five standard sizes covering belt widths of 18 to 42 inches.

Larger sizes are available upon request. Self-cleaning belts, used to carry the ferrous material to the side, are driven by a 2-horsepower electric motor. In addition, a strong magnetic field removes tin cans and other various ferrous fractions from deep burden depths, reducing the possibility of trapped scrap.
