Metso NIS 1620-11 BL100 incline shear

Metso Outotec USA Inc., San Antonio, has released the Metso NIS 1620-11 BL100 incline shear. The machine:

  • can produce up to 1,760 tons of shearing force
  • shears at a rate of 60 tons per hour
  • features a single-rake angle shear design and high pre- compression forces
  • processes large and bulky scrap, long forms of scrap and general types of scrap

Harris-GPS Series Predator baler/logger

Harris Waste Management Group, Cordele, Georgia, has partnered with G.P.S. Great Scrap Processing Solutions of Italy to release the Harris-GPS Series Predator scrap baler/logger. This product:

  • features a three-arm compression system that maximizes box folding speed and bale and log weights
  • offers a best-in-class frame that provides strength, compression force and durability
  • processes ferrous and nonferrous scrap
  • is assembled in the U.S. and will be available this year in the North American market

Caterpillar 980 XE and 982 XE wheel loaders

Peoria, Illinois-based Caterpillar’s 980 XE and 982 XE wheel loaders are the latest additions to the company’s Performance Series. Both loaders feature:

  • a Caterpillar transmission designed to maintain fuel efficiency while lowering maintenance costs
  • shock absorbers, sound suppression and cab mounts that help lower vibrations in the cab interior
  • a new dashboard and high-resolution touch screen that are designed to provide intuitive and user-friendly control for enhanced performance
  • windows and cameras that provide optimal views for operators
  • extended filter and fluid maintenance that allow for less downtime
