Austria-based shredder technology company Untha, which has U.S. headquarters in Hampton, New Hampshire, offers its Power Core, a power generator for the operation of the company’s XR and ZR shredders. The Power Core is designed to provide customers with more flexibility when using an Untha shredder and:
- allows XR and ZR shredders to be powered independently without compromising performance
- helps facilitate the switch to fully electric drive systems
- can be used as a rental model until local power infrastructure is available
- is suitable for temporary use, such as when a shredder is rented for short-term capacity expansion or live demonstrations
- automatically adjusts its output to the energy requirements of the shredder
- potentially provides a fuel savings of between 20-25 percent, with an integrated fuel tank that provides a 25-hour power supply and the ability to connect an external auxiliary tank for longer, uninterrupted operation

Pellenc ST AISEE systems

Pellenc ST, headquartered in France, has launched AISEE, an artificial intelligence-powered quality control analyzer designed to help operators achieve efficiency and quality outputs. Pellenc’s AISEE:
- can monitor, analyze and improve the quality of recyclables while reducing material losses
- accelerates the commissioning of large-scale projects with Pellenc’s optical sorters and monitoring waste streams in the sorting process
- improves the quality of sorted fractions through optical sorter settings and reduces recyclable material losses by identifying errors in feedback loops while providing insights into material composition
- provides users with real-time data, alerts on deviations or contaminants and the ability to optimize performance
- is prepared for future machine-to-machine automation, where parameter changes could be executed autonomously

Toyota lithium-ion forklift batteries

Columbus, Indiana-based Toyota Material Handling North America has expanded its forklift battery portfolio with the introduction of its new Toyota 5/35 line of lithium-ion batteries. The batteries:
- are configured to work with both the Toyota and Raymond lift truck brands and have been designed to provide a maintenance-free, cost-effective power source
- are available in 24-volt, 36-volt and 48-volt power capacities and have been designed to operate with high performance in both hot and cold environments
- feature dual A320 charge ports that offer ergonomic access and single- or dual-charger compatibility
- are compatible with Toyota’s own lithium-ion chargers, offering full integration with the batteries’ onboard Battery Management System to ensure seamless communication and charging efficiency
- deliver charging times as fast as one hour using dual-cable fast chargers, and include a warranty cycle life of up to 5,000 cycles
