IN MEMORIAM

Howard J. Clements, a co-founder and former chairman of Bay Metal Inc., Richfield, Ohio, died in late April at age 73. Clements co-founded Bay Metal Inc. in 1969, and helped the company grow to become a processor, buyer or trader of more than 75,000 tons per month of recycled and primary metals at seven locations in three states. He is survived by his widow, Jean, two daughters and one granddaughter.

INTEGRATED RECYCLING SERVICES CO.

Dennis W. Zink has joined Integrated Recycling Services Co. as vice president-new business development. The Lancaster, N.Y., firm provides a range of recycling services to industrial and commercial clients.

Zink recently retired from Eastman Kodak, where he spent more than 30 years in the company’s purchasing department, specializing in the emerging field of investment recovery.

EXCEL MANUFACTURING

Recycling equipment industry veteran Floyd Tuominen is retiring from Excel Manufacturing, St. Charles, Minn. Tuominen served in a vital sales role with Excel for seven years, and previously served in sales and management positions with other recycling equipment companies.

Former Excel national sales manager Jeffrey Van Galder has been promoted to the position of director of sales and marketing at the firm.

LBX CO.

LBX Co., Lexington, Ky., has named Thomas Roberts as its new chief financial officer, Libby Kinstle as advertising/sales promotion manager, and Kevin Roberts as parts business manager.

Thomas Roberts, who has worked for Case Corp. for the past six years, will have overall financial, treasuryand information technology responsibilities, as well as strategic development responsibilities.

Kinstle has assumed additional duties with LBX, and will be responsible for all advertising, Internet development, sales literature and public relations for the company. Kevin Roberts comes to LBX from Clark Material Handling Co. where he was most recently purchasing manager of after-market parts. At LBX Co., his responsibilities will include management of the parts business including marketing, sales and customer service.
