WestRock to close one mill and idle a second

Norcross, Georgia-based WestRock reportedly will close a paper mill in Coshocton, Ohio, and idle the long-time SP Newsprint (later SP Fiber Technologies) mill in Newberg, Oregon. WestRock acquired the Newberg mill in October 2015.
An article by The Oregonian indicates a report from Boston-based RISI that the Newberg mill may be reopened after technical adjustments and investments occur.
WestRock did not confirm the possible restart of the Newberg mill to The Oregonian, nor has it announced changes to the Ohio mill’s or the Oregon mill’s statuses.
