Owl’s Head Alloys, an aluminum alloy and mixed materials recycling company based in Bowling Green, Kentucky, has announced Michael Boyle will join the company as president effective Feb. 2. Current President David Bradford will become chair of the board as he steps back from the day-to-day management of the company, according to a company news release.
“Owl’s Head looks forward to the leadership that Michael will bring,” Bradford states, “as well as his extensive knowledge of the aluminum markets, which he has been active in for nearly 30 years.”
Boyle most recently lead the scrap purchasing and supply chain for Alcoa’s Rolled Products division. His career has included work in primary smelting, billet and slab casting, rolling, extrusions and trading. Boyle comments, “I look forward to joining the company and leadership team at Owl’s Head Alloys because of the foundation of integrity as well as the potential for exponential business growth.”
This transition follows Owl’s Head Alloy’s successful transition to a 100 percent employee-owned company in June 2019.
