Data Killers Launches New Trucks and Locations

Data Killers has announced that it has opened three new locations.

Data Killers has announced that it has opened three new locations. The company, headquartered in Washington, D.C., now has locations in Chicago; Sacramento, Calif.; and Dallas.

“The demand of our customers required us to expand,” says Elizabeth Wilmot, company president.

Data Killers offers mobile shredding services for hard drives, tapes, products, equipment and military gear.

“Our new mobile shredding trucks each contain powerful four-shaft shredders with several screen sizes to control the shred size,” says Rodney Young, operations manager of Data Killers. “We can cut any object into miniscule pieces because we have large hoppers which will fit any type of equipment. This shredding system will allow us to service many industries.”

Wilmot says Data Killers has seen “tremendous” growth in its data and product destruction services.

“The other hard drive shredding companies can only shred into strips,” she says. “Unfortunately, data can be retrieved relatively easily from strips of hard drives. We can completely grind hard drives down to granules right at someone’s site while they watch.”

Young says, “The power demands of a large shredder with screens have not been easy to fill in a mobile setting, which is why no one else is doing this like we are.”

He adds, “Our fabricators were able to use new electrical technology to power these shredders right from our trucks.”

Data Killers is the data and product destruction arm of Turtle Wings Inc.
