Novelis Inc. has selected Atlanta's Two Alliance Center as the location for its new world headquarters. The aluminum company has signed a long-term lease for four floors of the newly constructed 30-story office tower.
In addition to transferring staff from the company's current world headquarters nearby in Atlanta, Novelis will relocate its North American headquarters staff from Cleveland, Ohio, into the new building. Staff relocations, along with other planned additions, is expected to expand Novelis' total Atlanta employment to approximately 220 by the end of this year.
Philip Martens, president and COO of Novelis, notes that the move will enable the company to be more streamlined in its processes and will better align the North American business group with the global corporate center.
"We're looking forward to moving into our new headquarters," says Martens. "Not only will the move allow us to realize more synergies between our North American and global business operations, it will also have a positive impact on the culture of the company itself. Two Alliance Center is a world-class facility, with great amenities in and around the building, and we are looking forward to enjoying its benefits."
Occupancy of the new Novelis offices will begin in late June when the first staff relocations are expected to occur. The transition will continue in stages through September.
