NAID’S Initiatives Weave into Single Strategy

Association seeks to “professionalize” industry.

Focus is critical to obtaining any strategic goal. It is no wonder, therefore, considering the sheer number of NAID’s initiatives, such focus may not be readily apparent to our members.

At this time, NAID is developing a member-owned professional liability policy and a new professional accreditation program. We are reframing the CTK (Compliance Toolkit) as an employee training program, including production of a high-quality customer training/sales video. NAID is developing specific programs and collateral materials for developing the small medical market and developing tools for capitalizing on the Red Flags Rule. And, finally, NAID is developing a new multi-disciplinary educational seminar this fall, involving a number of related, buying-group associations.

These initiatives, while seemingly disparate, have one common strategy: the “professionalization” of the secure destruction industry. It is only when secure destruction is seen to require professional standards that quality service providers will truly get the attention and rewards they are due.
