Metso has acquired Mueller Engineering Inc., a provider of equipment and service for high voltage drive systems to the North American shredder industry. The acquisition cost was EUR 6 million.
Mueller, located in New Berlin, Wis., is privately owned. The company is a shredder plant service provider, which specializes in servicing drive motors and related equipment for the shredder. In addition to servicing companies North America, Mueller has customers in Asia-Pacific, South America, South Africa and Europe.
With this acquisition Metso Minerals further strengthens its position in the North American metal recycling plant service business and the supply of critical core components to the shredder plants.
The acquisition of Mueller follows up Metso’s acquisition of BEST this past March.
