On the lower side of the spectrum mixed paper, old newspaper and old corrugated continue to be in strong demand. Prices have been moving up over the past month, and demand remains good through most of the country. Some vendors see OCC prices topping the $105-$120 level for offshore orders. Some spot shortages have cropped up, although there has been some talk that any improvement in OCC and ONP may be short lived. There has been talk about some downtime being scheduled for early this spring, which could slow the upward movement of these grades.
