Remondis receives approval to acquire Bördner Group
The acquisition of waste management and recycling company Bördner Group, based in Limburg, Germany, by Germany-based Remondis GmbH & Co. has been cleared by the Bundeskartellamt, a Bonn, Germany-based regulatory authority. The purchase will extend Remondis’ network of operations in Germany while strengthening its position in the collection of household and commercial waste in the greater Rhine-Main region of Germany, the company says.

Remondis is part of the Rethmann Group and provides recycling, waste management and other services to 30 million people. Remondis operates on four continents, including 24 European countries, China, India, Taiwan, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Australia.
The Bördner Group’s services include collecting household waste on behalf of public waste management authorities.
