The equipment company Harris , Tyrone, Ga., has announced that it has sold an auto shredder plant and downstream system to Oak Cliff Metals, Dallas.
The scrap metal recycler purchased an HS6090 shredder plant, including an infeed conveyor; 24-pulse, 2,000-horsepower motor package; ferrous downstream; and a nonferrous separation system. The equipment will be located at Oak Cliff’s Waxahachie, Texas, location.
According to Harris, Benjie Smith, president of Oak Cliff Metals, says, “I traveled around looking at a few other shredders and after looking and talking to people about their operations, I just felt more comfortable with the Harris name and their support staff behind their product line.”
Scott Holder, regional sales manager for Harris, adds, “We are excited and look forward to contributing to the success of Oak Cliff Metals’ shredding operation in Waxahachie, Texas.”
