Harris Waste Management Group Inc, Peachtree City, Ga., has added Randy Hengst as its new Northeast regional sales manager. The global supplier of balers, shears and shredders to the recycling industry has also added Lonnie Leeman as its quality director
Hengst comes to Harris with 20 years of sales experience, with more than half of those years selling Harris equipment as a sales representative for Tri-State Equipment, a Harris distributor. He’ll be based in Matthews, N.C.
“Randy brings exceptional experience and communication skills to this position and we are thrilled to have him join our professional field team,” says Bob Pfeffer, director of sales – U.S. and Canada for Harris. “Randy is looking forward to the opportunities that this position offers with Harris.”
The new quality director, Lonnie Leeman, will have responsibilities for all aspects of quality for the Harris operations. Leeman has a degree in mechanical engineering eechnology from the University of North Carolina – Charlotte and an MBA degree from Wake Forest.
He has 18 years of experience in quality, engineering and manufacturing positions and is an ASQ Qualified Engineer, ISO9001:2000 lead auditor, six sigma black belt and Kaizen Champion. According to a Harris news release, Leeman “has developed and managed quality systems, driving the implementation of improvements, training, performance management and reorganization. He has developed his career with John Deere, General Electric, IMO Pump and Luvata.”
Harris designs, manufactures and supports scrap processing, recycling and waste handling equipment with a product range that includes two-ram, horizontal and vertical balers for recovered paper, cardboard, nonferrous metals and plastics, and shears, balers and shredders for ferrous scrap.
