Gannon & Scott
The U.S. Department of Labor has awarded Gannon & Scott, which is headquartered in Cranston, Rhode Island, with a “HIRE Vets” Gold Medallion Award for its veteran hiring and retention practices in 2019. Dana Evans, laboratory manager at Gannon & Scott, and George Lucas, vice president of sales and business development at Gannon & Scott, both of whom are U.S. Army veterans, accepted the award for the company in early November.
The award was presented by Sam Shellenberger, deputy assistant secretary for management and policy at the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans' Employment and Training Service in Washington.
“We are proud to support our veterans and pleased to be the first in our industry to receive the HIRE Vets Medallion Award, especially if it raises awareness about the importance of hiring veterans,” says Gannon & Scott President and U.S. Army veteran Chris Jones.
Gannon & Scott serves customers across North America, processing, assaying and recovering precious metals from a range of spent material at its facilities in Phoenix and Cranston.
