Georgia-Pacific Corp.'s board of directors promoted Asa D. Hardison, vice president - containerboard manufacturing, west, to group vice president - containerboard manufacturing. Hardison will have responsibility for all of the group's containerboard manufacturing.
The company also named four new corporate officers.
Ralph Feck was promoted to vice president - Maine operations, with management responsibility for the company's Woodland, Maine, pulp and paper mill, oriented strand board plant and lumber mill.
Christian Fischer has been promoted to vice president - containerboard sales, with responsibility for all containerboard marketing, technical services, and domestic and international sales as well as national accounts for the company's packaging group.
Charles Hodges was promoted to vice president - Leaf River pulp operations, responsible for the company's New Augusta, Miss., pulp mill.
Steven J. Klinger was promoted to vice president - packaging operations, with responsibility for 51 packaging operations as well as the packaging group's safety program, sales force improvement program and procurement.
